1. Hey how would you like to introduce yourself?
I’m Betty Adendwa a fashion designer. I’m 22 years old and so far I’m excited always excited in creating new design from scratch.
2. When did you discover your passion for design?
Ever Since I was young, I’ve been captivated by the world of fashion. The allure of gowns, especially wedding gowns always made me mesmerised. I would watch people done these beautiful creations and secretly wish that I could be the one to bring such beauty to life. Watching red carpet events with there glamorous outfit and elegant dresses, further fuel my fascination with the world of fashion.
3. How long have you been doing professional design?
Well I’m yet to explore about it yet but when I get the chance I won’t fumble. I can say this will be my first year.
4. Who inspired you to become a designer?
David avido really inspire me. I’m so grateful to be in his circle. He is a go getter and above all he doesn’t work for money but satisfying hid clients. Something that is so reasonable in wining a clients heart and also doing it right.
5. What opportunities and challenges have you encountered?
Well for me right now I don’t have any challenges I’m new in the fashion field.
6. Which brands do you aspire to work with in future?
There are several including, kikoromeo, vivo, kazuri beads among others.
7.what are your short term plans?
I’m planning to have my own shop selling fabrics especially Ankara and also brand my work as well. Also I would love to be a model. I wouldn’t mind modelling in my own outfit.
8. Which fashion projects have you participated in?
I was able to participate in kibera fashion week as a designer volunteer. It was a good experience.
9. What are your other hobbies and interests?
I like swimming and travelling so much. I love exploring different places
