Maandamano pushes for action by Kenya Kwanza Regime on Cost of Living in Kenya.

Raila Odinga and the Azimio coalition has the foot of the pedal in agitating for action by Kenya Kwanza government led by President Ruto. The call for peaceful protest by Raila Odinga has been taken by some as attention seeking or quest for relevance which the staunch supporters view the move as a quest for liberation of the Wanjiku who can no longer bear the cost of living as the nation’s economy continues to ail and on a negative trajectory.

The right to protest peacefully as guaranteed by the Kenyan constitution has been violated many times both by government and the protestors as seen with the recent Kiambu protest rallies where teargas was hurled at the protestors by police resulting to chaos blamed on interference by the police administration.

The fundamental call for action to lower the cost of living and involve azimio in appointment of new electoral body leaders as well as opening up the servers has been the rallying call by opposition leader Raila Odinga who has called for Maandamano on Monday 20th January which some few will interact with business, school learning and other vital day to day activities.

It is important however, for dialogue been the government and opposition to take place in quest for a solution. Raila has himself refuted the notion that he is in someway seeking “handshake” or involvement in Ruto’s government in as much as Azimio was aggrieved with the results of last years elections held in August.
